Ore Obaship: Council boss vows transparent selection process

Following the vacancy of the Obaship stool in Ore, the chairman of Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo State, Taiwo Adegoroye, has assured residents of a transparent selection process.
He gave the assurance while hosting the Olore-in-Council at his office.
The Hope recall that the stool has been vacant for years following the demise of the late Oba Johnson Olatomide.
Adegoroye pledged neutrality in the selection process, stressing that only God ordains kings.
“All your aspirations can only be implemented by the state government after the necessary rites have been performed for the selection of the new Olore.
“I will remain neutral before and during the selection process, because the stool belongs to specific ruling houses.
“Let the ruling houses handle the process diligently, but ensure it is done with fairness and justice,” he said.
The chairman also reiterated the commitment of the Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in ensuring a peaceful atmosphere, urging the ruling houses to avoid actions that could lead to crisis.
“Let there be peace and a crime-free environment in your various communities, as our governor always emphasises,” Adegoroye added.
Earlier, the delegation led by the Ayadi of Ore, High Chief Tope Ijiniga, urged the council boss to intervene in the matter without delay.
“We want you to use your good office to assist the Ore community in installing a traditional ruler as soon as possible.
