Organiser postpones Obas’ Cup final

In a bid to ensure that the grand finale of the Obas’ Cup worth it salt, the main organising committee (MOC)of the tourney has postponed the earlier final date.
The body added that the earlier date was shifted because the Ondo State Chairman of the council of Obas’ and Deji of Akure, Oba Ogunlade Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo was unavoidably absent.
Akoko North West and Owo local governments had earlier set to tackle each other at the final scheduled to be decided at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure.
The organisers while also assuring the finalists of fair officiating in the final commended the Asiwaju Ndigbo of Odigbo, Mr Willy Ikechukwu Onyema for his support.
Onyema in a chat with newsmen urged the teams and players in the final to be focused and play according to the rules of the competition.
The ex-footballer added that he will continue to support the round leather game at the grassroots to ensure that talents abound in the book and crannies of the state are discovered.
He said; “My passion for soccer knows no bound these have really endeared me to give my support to grassroot football development”.
