The Chairman of Ose Local Government area of Ondo State, 0jo Kolapo , has felicitated with His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Egunjobi, the Alafo of Afo, on his 67th anniversary as the town’s traditional ruler.

Ascending the throne in 1958 at just 16, Oba Egunjobi holds the record as one of the longest-reigning monarchs in Nigeria.

“Throughout his reign, he has been a beacon of peace, cultural preservation, and progress for Afo and the entire Ose Local Government,” Kolapo said.

In a statement, Kolapo described the monarch as a unifying figure whose leadership has significantly shaped the community’s development.

“It is an honour to celebrate such a historic reign. Oba Samuel Egunjobi has dedicated over six decades to selfless service, fostering peace and growth. His reign stands as a testament to the strength of our traditional institutions and cultural heritage,” he stated.

The chairman prayed for the monarch’s continued health, wisdom, and more years of impactful leadership while acknowledging his contributions to the stability and progress of the region.
