Ose traditional rulers pay condolence visit to Aiyedatiwa

Traditional rulers from Ose Local Government paid a condolence visit to the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The visit served a dual purpose as the rulers conveyed congratulations to Governor Aiyedatiwa on his assumption of office while expressing heartfelt condolences for the recent passing of former Governor Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu.
During the visit, Oba Rotimi Obamuagun, Olumoru of Imoru, on behalf of the traditional rulers, extended warm congratulations to Governor Aiyedatiwa. He acknowledged the governor’s previous interactions with the traditional leaders, emphasizing the respect shown even during Aiyedatiwa’s tenure as deputy governor.

Addressing the passing of Governor Akeredolu, the traditional rulers conveyed their pain over the loss of a leader they held in high regard. They prayed for strength for Governor Aiyedatiwa as he embarked on this new chapter in Ondo State’s governance.
In response, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the visit, highlighting the late governor’s dedication to peace, unity, and impactful governance. He acknowledged Akeredolu’s fearless leadership, particularly in establishing the Amotekun security outfit, and praised the late governor’s achievements in security, education, agriculture, and other sectors.
During the interaction, the traditional rulers expressed concerns about security and infrastructure. They emphasized the need for continuity in road constructions and urged the governor to deploy more Amotekun security personnel to areas lacking protection, especially with the upcoming farming season. Governor Aiyedatiwa assured them that their concerns would be addressed promptly.
Assuring the traditional rulers of his commitment to continuing the legacy the late governor left behind, Governor Aiyedatiwa promised to prioritize security, infrastructure, and collaboration with traditional leaders in governance. He urged the rulers to put their requests in writing for record-keeping and swift action.
