OSHIGA: AAUA wins  4 gold, 10 silver, 4 bronze

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria, has exhibited brilliancy in the recently concluded Ondo State Higher Institutions Games, OSHIGA, held at Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo.

AAUA occupied the third position on the medals’ table of 10 participating institutions in the state, having won four Gold medals in Football, Scrabble, athletics (4x100m men) and Tennis (Mixed double); 10 silver medals in Volleyball, Athletics (100m women, 4x100m women and 4x400m men); Table Tennis (female doubles, single and male doubles); and four bronze medals in Table Tennis (male doubles, female singles), and Athletics (100m men and 4x100m women).

In a statement, the AAUA Chief Coach, Mr. Ahmed A. A., ascribed the success to the hard work, discipline and oneness of spirit of all the coaches and athletes (students) that participated in the tournament.

Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, came first with seven Gold, five Silver and six Bronze; while the host institution, Adeyemi College of Education, came second with six Gold, 3 Silver and six Bronze.
