Members of staff of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) have conferred an Award of Distinguished Leadership on the Chairman of the commission, Mr Olugbenga Edema in recognition of his exemplary leadership qualities.

The Secretary to the Board of the commission, Dr. Victor Koledoye and the Director of Accounts, Mr. Frank Menukuro were also conferred with the Awards of Excellent Services and Outstanding Performance respectively.

The Awardees were honoured at the Year 2018 Edition of the OSOPADEC End of Year Party held last weekend at the commision’s premises at Oba-Ile Akure.

Speaking on behalf of the workers,Comrade Kayode Ebiseni showered encomiums on Edema for his exemplary leadership qualities which he averred have moved the commission to greater heights.

He particularly commended the Chairman’s staff welfare policy, saying the commission’s staff morale have been tremendously boosted under his leadership.

Responding, Edema noted that the annual get-together is to appreciate the workers for their loyalty and productivity during the outgone year and also an opportunity to dine and wine and come together as members of a family.

 While describing the commission’s workforce as the engine room of the organisation,the Chairman noted that without them keying into the management’s vision, achieving the commission’s goals and objectives will be difficult.

Edema assured that OSOPADEC will deliver more developmental projects to the people of its mandate areas this year.
