OSPHCDA gets database

The Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Agency has put in place data base to collate activities of primary health facilities in the state for more improved qualitative service delivery.
The Permanent Secretary of the agency, Dr Francis Akanbiemu who stated this while addressing participants at the October edition of integrated Public Health Coordinator (PHC)meeting held in Akure said activities of all facilities are to be uploaded to the headquarters’ database room for assessment, review and analysis.
He informed the primary health coordinators that the agency was doing well in terms of aggressive response to health issues in the state, noting that it would not relent at ensuring sustainance of its leading position among committee of states.
According to him, trainings would soon be organized for medical officers and nurses on the use of the new Ultrasound Scanning Machines.
Akanbiemu said despite the financial situation of the country and the entire globe, Ondo state government under the leadership of Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, was doing everything possible to make fund available for the PHC to attend to health needs of the people at the grassroots .
In his speech, the Ondo State Coordinator of World Health Organization, Dr Akinola Fatiregun said WHO was impressed with success the state was making on the health sectors, particularly the on going COVID-19 vaccinations.
According to him, W.H.O. would continue to render necessary assistance to Ondo State Primary Health Services especially in attending to health challenges and health related issues.
Speaking earlier, Director, Planning Research and Statistics, Dr ( Mrs) Yetunde Olagbuji said the monthly meeting was put in place by World Health Organization (WHO)and management of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency to review the activities and performances of all Primary Health facilities in the state on local government basis for update and improvement.
