Ahead of the July 16 governorship election, Osun State citizens and residents have been enjoined to register and collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) on time.
A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Felix Awofisayo who gave the charge in Ile-Ife stated that participation in any electoral process in the country requires the possession of the mandatory PVC.
He said those who have attained the voting age should avail themselves of the ongoing opportunity by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by doing the needful ahead of the fast-approaching governorship election in Osun.
According to him, it is only through this they can effectively participate in any electoral process.
Awofisayo further advised electorates to encourage all their younger ones who are just attaining the voting age to also make use of INEC’s window of opportunity to register with a view to participating in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
The APC chieftain further observed that the state is abundantly blessed with a youthful population that can participate effectively in any electoral process.
“To the glory of God, our state is blessed with a youthful population that can effectively participate in any electoral process in the country,” he stressed.
He, therefore, charged the APC leadership in the state to put all machineries in motion to encourage all those just attaining the voting age to go and register and obtain their PVCs ahead of the July 16 governorship election.
