The Osun State Security Network, known as the Amotekun Corps, has officially published the list of successful applicants selected to join its ranks.
Following a rigorous selection process that assessed candidates on physical fitness, mental readiness, and overall suitability, the shortlisted names are now available for viewing at the Osun Amotekun Headquarters, Powerline Area, Osogbo.
As part of the next phase of evaluation, all selected candidates are required to undergo a mandatory 1km fitness test on Friday, 7 March 2025.
A statement by the Amotekun Public Relations Officer, Mr Yusuf Idowu Abass, stated that the exercise would commence at the Government Secretariat Second Gate, Abeere, and conclude at the Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board, near the Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding.
All applicants are expected to appear in a white round-neck T-shirt, white shorts, and white sneakers.
Additionally, candidates are required to report to the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ede for their formal induction and training, which will commence on Monday, 10 March 2025.
This development marks a significant step in the recruitment process as the newly selected operatives prepare to contribute to the security and safety of Osun State.
