The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress has described an interview credited to the newly launched Omoluabi Caucus led by its Chairman, Adelowo Adebiyi as deceitful and economical with the truth.
Adelowo while featuring on a Yoruba programme ‘Oro Oselu’ which was monitored in Osogbo, the Osun state capital defended the rationale behind the formation of Omoluabi Caucus.
The party however castigated the totality of the content of the interview and branded same as highly deficient in truth.
According to the Osun State Chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo said it was unfortunate that Adelowo who carries an ecumenical title of an ‘Elder’ could allow himself to be used as a purveyor of a political message by his paymaster which has exposed him to his audience as a pathological liar.
Lawal stated that it was unfortunate that Adelowo could make a reckless submission in the said interview that the Osun State chapter of the APC had not objected to the formation of the rebellious ‘Omoluabi APC Caucus’ when in fact, the APC had issued a statement through the spokesman of the party in the state few days ago, condemning the act.
He told Adelowo that he would wait till eternity if he is faulting the choice of the spokesman of the party that conveyed the statement that condemned outrightly the birth of the self-styled ‘, Omoluabi APC Caucus’ which is not in any way different from its defunct sibling, ‘The Osun Progressives (TOP) which are two leprous hands with similar nefarious mission.
The state APC chairman observed that the perturbed disposition of Adelowo during the one-hour interview gave him out as someone who does not have a mind of his own and was only propelled by his paymaster to come and sell an impossible and unpopular product which was exemplified during the question-and-answer segment of the interview programme where all the callers condemned in their entirety everyone and anything that has to do with their unpopular political caucus.
Lawal stated that it was ludicrous and highly embarrassing that Adelowo could throw caution to the wind by disclosing during the interview that his boss, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, the immediate-past Minister of Interior, did not vote in the presidential, governorship, national and House of Assembly elections last year and this year because Aregbesola was running an errand for former President Muhammed Buhari.
He told Adelowo to tell that to the marine as it is a convention for the presidency to equip any of its political appointees with the needed resources and election vacation with which to facilitate a positive and brighter showing during the elections.
