Osun State Commissioner for Police, Mrs Abiodun Ige has described the House of Assembly election in the State as hitch-free, devoid of bitterness and rancor.

The state Commissioner of Police, gave the commendation while monitoring the election across the state on Saturday.

She refuted the claims that the election is being disrupted by some disgruntled elements in some polling units

The Police boss noted that her monitoring team had visited nearly all the polling units in the state and nothing was amiss.

She reiterated the commitment of the police in ensuring the security of lives and property, before during and after the election.

The commissioner warned miscreants who might be planning to foment trouble to stay away from collation centers as security agents are fully on ground to deal with electoral offenders.

She urged politicians to call their supporters to order, most especially when winners are declared not to hide under the guise of jubilation to disrupt public peace.

Ige, however, commended residents of the State for their peaceful conduct at the Saturday’s poll.
