Osun gov, wife canvass support for APC candidates-

Residents of Osun State have been enjoined to vote for the All Progressives Congress candidates in the forthcoming House of Assembly election.

The State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola stated this during a ‘Thank You Tour’ to Ilobu, Ifon, Erin-Osun and Ede in Irepodun, Orolu, Ede-North and Ede-South Local Government Areas on Monday.

Oyetola said the performance of any government is hinged on the composition of the House of Assembly.

“We embarked on this ‘thank you tour’ to appreciate our people who came out in large numbers to re-elect our President and other candidates of our party- the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He appealed to the people to rally support for all the APC candidates in the Saturday’s election.

“House of Assembly election is keyed to democratic government and good governance. Since the strength of good governance in any state could only be justified by the unification of the members of the House of Assembly, hence the need for us to have majority in the House.

“We need members of the House that will not only cooperate with the Governor to achieve his aims and objectives for the state but that will share the same vision and dream with the Governor to set the state to the path of progress and prosperity.

The governor charged APC leaders in the local government areas to close ranks and work for the success of the party.

Chairman, Osun APC Elders caucus, Engr Sola Akinwumi assured the governor that the party has overcome the challenges encountered in the previous elections.

The Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Asiru Olatoye Olaniran prayed for Oyetola’s success while describing APC’s flag bearer of the House of Assembly in Irepodun, Hon Nasiru Olateju as a good son of Ilobu and assured he will come out victorious this weekend.

In his remark, the state Chairman of APC, Prince Gboyega Famodun implored the people of Ilobu especially aggrieved members to stealth their swords and bury their hatchets, stressing that Ilobu should not be swimming in the back waters of progressive politics.

In the same vein, wife of Osun state governor, Kafayat Oyetola urged citizens of the state to vote for the APC candidates at the forthcoming election.

Mrs Oyetola stated this during her market rally programme across the state on Monday.

She thanked the people of Osun state and Nigeria in general for re-electing President Muhammadu Buhari for another 4-year tenure.

Mrs Oyetola admonished the market women to replicate the same political gesture on March 9 by voting for APC candidates vying for the House of Assembly seats in the state.

She described the election as strategically crucial to the growth and development of the state under the leadership of governor Oyetola.

She said there’s no party that can make life better for Nigerians apart from APC.

Also speaking, the lawmaker representing Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal constituency in the National Assembly, Mrs Ayo Omidiran educated the market men and women on how to cast their vote this Saturday.

She stressed that a vote for APC is a vote for more growth and development of the people.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Olu of Garage Olode, Oba Olajide Omisore commended the wife of the governor and her team.
