No fewer than 3,000 digital influencers from across Osun State have thrown their weight behind the governorship ambition of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State .

The convergence, marking the inaugural physical gathering of the AMBO Media Front (AMF), brought together a powerful coalition of online voices determined to reshape the political landscape through the force of new media.

The atmosphere buzzed with energy and conviction. From veteran bloggers and political analysts to rising TikTok personalities and local social media champions, the gathering reflected a vibrant blend of experience and youthful dynamism. These weren’t just content creators—they were the frontline soldiers of a digital revolution.

Delivering the keynote address, renowned journalist and digital strategist, Mr. Adebayo Adedeji, set the tone with a rousing speech.

He said: “Today, we are not just media handlers. We are a movement—a progressive front committed to ushering in a leader defined by integrity and competence.”

Adedeji highlighted AMBO’s impactful tenure as Commissioner for Finance, especially during the challenging era of modulated salaries. “He didn’t just crunch numbers; he restored confidence. That’s the leadership Osun needs now more than ever,” he emphasised.

The event’s message was clear: flood the digital space with truth, promote Oyebamiji’s proven track record, and do so with dignity and discipline.

Hon. Funso Fagbohungbe, a former aide to ex-governor Adegboyega Oyetola, reinforced the call for unity and strategy.

“This isn’t just a campaign—it’s a mission. Our candidate isn’t a hard sell; he’s a winning brand. Now, we must remain consistent and coordinated,” he urged.

Speakers emphasised that in the digital era, a single tweet or video can influence public opinion. Attendees understood this power and the responsibility that comes with it.

Former NUJ Chairman in Osun State, Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji, brought a seasoned perspective, encouraging the influencers to view themselves not just as commentators, but as credible narrators of a political journey.

“Your gadgets are tools, yes—but your strength lies in your integrity and your connection to the people,” he said. “We’ll support and mentor you as we build a narrative that resonates across all demographics.”

Other political stakeholders, including Prince Sesan Opadoyin and Hon. Mustapha Olaide (Olipha), also lauded the AMF’s enthusiasm, reminding the crowd that they were co-authors of a new political chapter in Osun.

One young influencer from Iwo spoke passionately: “We’ve followed politicians who made promises and didn’t deliver. AMBO is different—he’s been tested and trusted.”

As the meeting concluded, strategies were drafted, communication structures set, and leadership roles assigned. Amid it all, a silent but powerful pact was formed: to carry AMBO’s message to every screen, every phone, and every heart in Osun State.

With over 3,000 digital foot soldiers now mobilised, it is clear that the 2026 governorship race in Osun won’t be decided by posters alone. It will be a contest of narratives and AMBO’s digital army is already on the front lines.
