Osun Govt to conduct free medical check-up for business owners

The Osun State Government has announced a free medical check-up initiative targeting business owners across the state’s Local Government areas, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes, which focus on education, healthcare, and other impactful initiatives.

According to a statement signed by the Acting Chairman of the Osun Internal Revenue Service, Hon. Solanke Hamzat, the medical outreach—supported by Electronic Collections ECG—will be conducted across the headquarters of the state’s nine federal constituencies: Ilesa, Ikirun, Ila, Iwo, Ede, Ijebujesa, Ikire, Ife, and Osogbo.

Speaking on behalf of the state government, Hon. Hamzat expressed concern over the poor attitude of many business owners toward regular health checks, citing the stress of their occupations and a general lack of health awareness. He urged them to take full advantage of the free medical check-up scheduled to hold on Thursday, June 12, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m.

“It has been observed that many business owners in Osun State neglect their health until serious issues arise. His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has directed that we organise a free comprehensive health check-up for all business owners. Business owners are the lifeblood of our economy, and their health must be prioritized,” he said.

The medical check-up will includes:,Blood Pressure Check Counseling ,Blood Sugar Test ,Obesity and BMI Assessment and Vision Test

Others are , Clinical Examination Liver and Kidney Function Tests,
Lipid Profile Urinalysis
Cardiac Stress Test and General Medical Check-up

Hamzat emphasised that the venues for the check-up across the nine federal constituencies will be announced shortly.

He encouraged all interested business owners and managers to register online at www.ecg.ng/freecheckup by June 6, 2025, to ensure proper planning and delivery of quality medical services.
