As part of efforts to boost the state’s Internally Generated Revenue, IGR,  the Osun state Government has introduced a multi-faced Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) credit software solution to the state IGR collection banks.

The Supervisor for the Ministry of Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji disclosed this in Osogbo during a meeting to introduce the new credit software solution to the IGR collection banks in the state.

The new credit software solution will eliminate the bottlenecks which IGR collection banks go through.

The meeting was put together in collaboration with the state’s consultant on IGR, Infinity Systems Enterprise.

Oyebamiji explained that the new software is also for the purpose of making payments convenient for payers as well as the collectors.

He said while the new software which is expected to commence full operations from March 18 has been developed to make the job of IGR collecting banks easier, it also comes with an added advantage as it will not restrict the banks to just collecting payments from within Osun alone.

“We are working and we will continue to work on better and more efficient application to boost our revenue in Osun. This is for the purpose of boosting the IGR in Osun and we shall continue to strive to improve on it.

“This is the focus of the government for the benefit of everybody and the growth of our state. As technology is improving, we don’t need to restrict willing tax payers to visit banking halls before they make their payments.

“We want a seamless way of making payments to the state, we want to reduce bottlenecks on the part of the collecting banks, this will enable taxpayers to pay from anywhere and not necessarily visit Osun.
