Osun NOA gets new boss

The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Osun Directorate, has announced the appointment of Mr Stephen Adefarasin Adebiyi as the new State Director.
The appointment followed the retirement of the immediate past Director, Mrs Bola Morgan, who bowed out after 35 years of meritorious service.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer, Bumi Olaseinde, said Mr Adebiyi was born on November 17, 1967. He hails from Ifetedo in Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State.
He obtained a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 2002, and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Ibadan in 1997.
Mr Adebiyi’s illustrious career began on April 7, 1992, as an Audit Assistant III in the defunct Osun State Directorate of Mass Mobilisation for Self-Reliance, Social Justice, and Economic Recovery (MAMSER), which was later transformed into the National Orientation Agency.
His career has witnessed multidimensional stewardship spanning over two decades, cutting across roles such as Personal Assistant to Political Directors and various out-postings to local government areas of Osun State as Principal Orientation and Mobilisation Officer, and Chief Orientation and Mobilisation Officer.
Until his appointment, Mr Adebiyi served as Deputy Director, Programmes, before being named the substantive Director of the NOA, Osun State Directorate.
Mr Adebiyi, who is happily married with children, has vowed to consolidate on the gains of the outgoing Director, even as he seeks to “expand the NOA’s frontiers in uncharted territories to advance the cause of citizens’ engagement in patriotic responsibility to the nation.”
“We congratulate Mr Adebiyi on his appointment and look forward to his leadership,” the statement added.
