Osun PDP slams APC over bribery allegation

The ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has advised the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) to engage in productive ventures during its trying times, rather than reducing itself to an object of animated ridicule through unmeasured balderdash, ostensibly borne out of unending frustration.
In a statement from its media office on Wednesday, the PDP described the mindless allegation of an attempt by the PDP-led administration to bribe the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as a mere symptom of crass idiocy.
The statement added that the opposition party, drenched in the shame of its failed attempts to usurp authority it never earned from the people—as enshrined in constitutional democracy—continues to peddle baseless claims.
According to the statement, a legitimate administration requires no surreptitious scheming to claim the instruments of governance already prescribed by the laws of the land—unlike the “mentally wretched” APC, which is burning all its energy on illegalities in a desperate attempt to crawl back into already-lost reckoning.
“Instead of accusing the ruling party of bribery, the APC should place a mirror in front of their restless faces and see the real thieves—those who, among other clandestine moves, tried to hoodwink the apex bank with judicial half-truths, which eventually fell flat, having met brick walls from the legal departments of the CBN,” the statement concluded.
