Osun State Police Command has invited residents of some communities in the state whose goats were missing to come for identification and collection.
This was disclosed in a statement released by the Command’s Public Relation Officer, SP Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin.
According to her, those invited are people whose goats were stolen or missing between May 9 and 10,2023 to come to the command’s headquarters for identication and possible collection.
The statement read” This is to inform the general public, especially residents of Osogbo, Ikirun, Obagun, Iree, Eripa, Otan-Ayegbaju and Ila; whose goats are missing between 9th and May 9 and 10,2023 to report/come to State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Police Command Headquarters, Osogbo for possible identification and collection.
It would be recalled, that, on 10/05/2023 at about 3:10am, police team from Safer Highway Patrol along Odeomu-Sekona axis arrested two suspects in possession of 14 live and one dead she-goats, which upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to have stolen the goats from the aforementioned locations within the state.
