Osun Police nab suspected cultists for attempted murder

Anti-crime detectives of the Osun State Police Command have arrested four suspected cultists, for allegedly attempting to murder one Samuel Friday in Iree, Boripe Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects, identified as Ibrahim Gbadamosi (Gbedu), Ibiyemi Saheed (Mouth), Ayandiya Yusuf (Lakaye), and Ogunwole Najeem (Agali), were reported members of an unlawful group known as the Action Boxing Training Club (ABTC).

According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Yemisi Opalola, the suspects were apprehended on January 5, 2025, around 12:30 a.m. at their hideouts by the Anti-Cultism Unit of the command following credible intelligence.

She said that the suspects would be charged to court soon after investigations are concluded.
