Detectives of the Osun State Police Command have commenced a full scale investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of a commercial motorcyclist, identified as Toromade Adebowale, who was reportedly shot dead on the day of his wedding introduction, in Moro town, Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State.
The police spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the incident said homicide department has started investigation to unravel the immediate cause of the murder.

Reports had it that the late groom-to-be hailed from Edunabon town, Ife North.
A source from the family who craved anonymity told our correspondent that Adebowale and his family were in Ede town earlier on Friday for an engagement ceremony with his pregnant wife.
“Shortly after the mini ceremony, Debo attended the swearing-in of the newly elected leaders of the commercial motorcyclists association in Edunabon, being a member of the association.
“After the swearing, he joined others to escort their leaders who came from Ile-Ife to Moro junction. It was at the Moro junction that we heard gunshot from unknown persons,” the source said.
The Hope Metro gathered that Adebowale and one other person were shot.
Both were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where Adebowale was confirmed dead on arrival.
The second victim is still receiving treatment.
It was also learnt that Toromade’s family has opted not to pursue the case as his remains were committed to earth on Saturday morning.
