The Osun state government has restated its commitment to the welfare and security of corps members serving in the state.
The state governor, Gboyega Oyetola stated this during the closing ceremony of the 2019 Batch A orientation course at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ede.
Oyetola urged them not to be hasty to change their posting from rural areas, but rather embrace the posting and be a blessing to the people they have been sent to.
“I want you to also take seriously the security tips you have been given during the course of the orientation exercise, do not undermine or disregard them,” he said.
In his address, the State Coordinator of NYSC in the state, Mr Emmanuel Attah, commended the Governor for his activities in the primary healthcare system in the state.
Attah said with the health policy of the state government, the NYSC could be rest assured that the corps members will have their stay remarkable and smooth.
The coordinator while decorating the Governor lauded his commendable performance in office in less than six months.
Attah warned the corps members to shun all forms of indiscipline, corrupt practices, partisan politics and religious extremism.
He also advised them not to embark on unauthorised journeys or have disrespect for socio-cultural values of their host communities.
