Osun SUBEB tasks teachers on quality, efficiency

The Executive Secretary, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, Mr Adeoye Bakare has charged teachers to employ the knowledge garnered at training workshop in their various schools for positive effect on their pupils.

Bakare gave the charge in an address delivered at the opening ceremony of a 5-day training workshop for selected School Based Primary Teachers held at Anthony Udofia Primary School Hall in Osogbo.

He urged the participants to give their support to the development of the State education sector through efficient sharing of the knowledge gained at the training workshop with their colleagues as well as the pupils in their various schools, for achievement of excellent results in the sector.

According to him, all primary school teachers across the state need to complement the huge financial commitments of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola-led administration in the quest to reposition the state’s education sector, especially at the basic level.

This, he said will further boost the knowledge capacity of the young school children in achieving optimum goal in their academic performances.

The Director, School Establishment and Training, Mrs Adebola Taiwo commended the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and the State Government of Osun, through the leadership of Osun SUBEB, on their unrelenting efforts at ensuring that effectiveness and efficiency are entrenched in teaching and learning activities at basic education level.

He enjoined the participants to make judicious use of the knowledge gained by imparting it to their colleagues.

Osun SUBEB Director of Administration and Supplies, Mr Rafiu Oyelowo lauded the State Government for creating the required enabling environment for impactful teaching and learning.
