Osun to hold Education Summit

As part of efforts by Osun State government to improve its education sector for better results, arrangements are in top gear to hold an education summit.

The education summit has been tentatively slated to hold between the 22nd and 24th of August, 2023 in Osogbo the State capital.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Education Summit Committee , Prof. Oyesoji Aremu while addressing members of the committee at the State secretariat.

The committee is therefore calling on members of the public to begin to come up with memoranda to be submitted at the Ministry of Education from Thursday July 20, to Monday August 7, 2023.

The memoranda is expected to be submitted via e-mail address, osuneducationsummit2023@osunstate.gov.ng or in printed hard copies submitted in triplicate to the office of the permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education.

Prof. Aremu said the summit is expected to come up with education policies that will benefit all stakeholders in the education sector and improve results.

In his address, the permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, who also double as the Secretary of the committee Mr. Murtala Jimoh appreciated members of the committee for their acceptance of the clarion call to serve the State.

He, therefore, appealed to both full members as well as the co opted members of the committee to give their full commitment to the course.

“Let’s use this summit to put an end to the shameful backwardness in the education sector and create an era of celebrated success for which we all thirst”. The P.S stated.
