Osun trains workers to block leakages

All is now set for the training of the Osun state tertiary institutions workers on the Treasury Single Account, TSA, software in order to block financial leakages in the state.
The Supervisor for Ministry of Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji stated this during the meeting of the finance conglomerate in Osogbo
Oyebamiji charged all stakeholders involved in governance to fully comply with the TSA policy for the overall economic development of the state.
He said if the tertiary institutions bought into the idea, the next thing is for them to be trained on the workings of the application for smooth take off.
The Supervisor who is also in charge of Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives and Empowerment said each of the six tertiary institutions in the state were expected to nominate technical persons who are to use the system.
Oyebamiji stated that Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s administration is not ready to leave any stone unturned in the move to block all financial leakages and make every government stakeholder prudent in the process of delivering good governance to the people.
He added that after the training which is expected to commence anytime from now, an approval will be sought from the Governor for the tertiary institutions to go live with the new software.
The Technical Assistant to the state government on TSA, Mr Adetona Adefokun who stressed that the state is long overdue for full compliance with the TSA policy said with the new software in place in the state’s tertiary institutions, the revenue of the state is bound to improve.
