Less than one month to the general elections in the country, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ondo state, Mr Ade Adetimehin, has boasted that the party will coast home to victory in the forthcoming polls.

He said the various sterling achievements of the party both at the federal and state levels would further boost the chances of victory of the APC come February 16 and March 2 polls.

Adetimehin described Ondo State as a familiar terrain for the party in terms of mobilising the electorate and getting their support, adding that winning the state for President Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates of the APC would not be difficult for the party leadership.

The chairman noted that the party had already begun aggressive campaigns and mobilisation of its supporters across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state, to ensure overwhelming victory for the party and its candidates in the elections.

He said he was confident that APC would carry the day, noting that there was nothing to fear as the party had begun house-to-house and door-to-door campaigns across the state.

“It is not a new thing. We have been in the game for long. What we are doing now is house-to-house and door-to-door campaign to get massive support for the party at the polls, and we are happy that people are embracing us because we have done well”, he said.

He expressed satisfaction with the warm reception given to all the party candidates by the people of the state, describing it as a sign of victory for the APC.

He said the performance of Governor, Akeredolu in terms of infrastructural development of the state is second to none, noting that over 600 kilometers of roads have been tarred by the present administration in less than two years.

This, he emphasised, was apart from other various people-oriented projects and programmes targeted at putting smiles on the faces of the people in the state.

“It is the achievements that will speak volume for APC. So, we are confident of victory, there is nothing to fear about at all “, Adetimehin assured.

He equally stressed that the Peace and Reconciliation Committee set up by the party would further increase the chances of victory of the party.

Adetimehin expressed delight in the activities of the committee, pointing out that all its members were doing excellently well in the discharge of their primary duties.

He believed that the report of the committee would further strengthen the party and make it more united. The committee was expected to submit its report before the week runs out.
