Owa Ale tasks Ikare residents on peaceful polls
From Jimoh Ahmed, Ikare Akoko,
As Nigerians go to the poll on Saturday, the Owa Ale of Ikare Akoko, Oba Samuel Kolapo Adegbite Adedoyin has charged residents of Ikare Akoko and environs to allow peace to reign.
The Governorship and House of Assembly elections hold throughout the country on Saturday while Ondo State will only be taking part in the House of Assembly elections.
Oba Adedoyin made this appeal in his message to the people on the election during a chat with newsmen in Ikare Akoko.
The monarch appealed to the people to shun violence, thuggery and all acts capable of truncating the peace currently being enjoyed in the town and throughout the Akoko North East Local Government.
The Owa Ale asked the people to see the exercise as a family affair, and as such it should not cause any rift among them.
He also warned those who may be planning to cause any form of havoc during the election to desist from it.
According to him, Ikare is one and happy family and will continue to remain so after the election.
