The Owa of Idanre, Oba Frederick Aroloye has applauded Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the various projects executed in the ancient town with a pledge to continually support him to achieve his good vision for the state.
Oba Aroloye who spoke when the Governor and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) visited him in his Palace to seek his blessings equally commended him for his brave stance towards the establishment of Amotekun Corps in the South West region.
Governor Akeredolu and other APC leaders were in Idanre in continuation of Governor Akeredolu’s re-election campaign.
Oba Aroloye who described Governor Akeredolu as the grand commander of development in the state, explained that the people of Idanre would not forget him for opening up their town with road projects, rehabilitation of schools as well as provision of potable water.
The monarch called on the people of Idanre to reciprocate the governor’s kind gesture to the people of the town by voting him massively in the October 10 governorship poll.
He also enjoined the people to shun all forms of violence and other acts capable of threatening the peace of town before, during and after the governorship election.
Oba Aroloye appreciated Governor Akeredolu for being honest and truthful to the course of good governance in the state, adding that the Governor is the first governor that will make promises and fulfill them to the people of Idanre.
Speaking at the Palace, Governor Akeredolu who appreciated the monarch for recognising his administration’s various efforts at developing the town further assured him of his readiness to do more for the ancient town if re-elected for another term.
He described APC as a party of peace and would not allow itself to be provoked by anybody for political gains.
The Governor also promised to continue to do his best to make Oke Idanre an international tourist centre.
At the campaign rally in community, Governor Akeredolu enjoined the people of the town to come out during the next month’s governorship polls and cast their votes for him to continue with the various works in the interest of the state.
The campaign was attended by large crowd of people who expressed their readiness to re-elect Governor Akeredolu for a second term on office.
Other leaders present at include former Vice chairman of the APC, Pius Akinyelure, the state chairman of the party, Ade Adetimehin, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Yemi Olowolabi, former Commissioner for Labour and Productivity, Taye Akinyele, and other leaders of the party.
