Owena Press best Ondo NUJ chapel

Owena Press Chapel in the Ondo State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists has been declared the best among the eleven chapels in the council.
The chairman of the screening committee, inaugurated by the National Secretariat of the Union to screen members of the state NUJ following its botched election on November 14, Pastor Kayode Akinsola, made the declaration at the weekend when the chapel members were screened exercise at the NUJ Press Centre, Alagbaka, Akure.
Mr Akinsola said members of Owena Press Chapel made him happy, saying all the chapel’s members who appeared before his committee almost qualified by every standard.
The leader of the three-man committee applauded the chapel for its commitment to the union and particularly its effort to meet the screening requirement.
He said members of the chapel were qualified and presented their individual pay slips, professional qualifications as well as evidence of payment of their professional fees to the union.
Expressing satisfaction with the chapel, Mr Akinsola took time to specially pray for the members of the chapel while he commended the chapel chairman, Mr. Sola Alatise for a job well done, describing him as a perfect and unique chairman.
He said other chapels should emulate Owena Press Chapel to take the union to a greater level.
The screening exercise took place last week, and the committee has since submitted its reports.
