Owena Press gets Chairman/Editor-in-Chief

Owena Press Limited, publishers of The Hope titles has got a new Chairman/Editor-in-Chief.  He is Sir Ademola Adetula.

Adetula came back to the office 15 years after he resigned as the Managing Director of the company.

His appointment was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Segun Ajiboye.

Born 67years ago to the family of Adetula in Owo,  the Chairman attended Aquinas College, Akure. He had a brief stint at Kwara Polytechnic, Ilorin before proceeding to the Nigeria Institute of Journalism. He was employed as a reporter at The Herald Newspaper, and rose to the position of Group News Editor, a position he held until he was appointed Editor of the newspaper.

He was appointed the General Manager of Owena Press limited in 1998 and later Managing Director in year 2000.

As the Managing Director of Owena Press limited, Adetula expanded the frontiers of the titles to cover South West Nigeria, Edo and Kwara States.

He also added another title to the newspaper, Entertainment Hope, in May, 2000,  which was rested during the administration of late Olusegun Agagu in 2003.

Adetula, an alumnus of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko holds Bachelor of Law Degree from National Open University and is a Knight of St. John International.
