The staff of Owena Press Limited have been commended for their dedication and unwavering support towards the growth of the company.

The Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Owena Press Limited, Mr Kayode Fasua, gave the commendation during the monthly prayer meeting held in the company’s newsroom.

Fasua acknowledged the significant improvement in staff commitment to duty.

“Your support is making a positive impact on the company. However, I urge you to continue striving until we achieve our expectations,” he said.

He emphasised the importance of learning and gaining wisdom through service, while also highlighting some of the challenges he encountered upon assuming office, particularly the company’s insufficient monthly subvention, which falls short of covering expenses.

Fasua condemned acts of misconduct among staff, including physical altercations and bullying.

“We have zero tolerance for such behaviour. It is not allowed. Anyone caught engaging in such acts will face serious consequences, including possible termination,” he warned.

Addressing the company’s challenges, Fasua assured that necessary steps would be taken as soon as possible. He, therefore, urged staff to work collectively towards the company’s progress.

“If you have any concerns, you can approach me directly, but let us remain civil. Our current challenges should not bring us down. We must keep pushing forward to achieve our goals,” he encouraged.

Fasua reassured staff that their welfare remains a priority. However, he expressed displeasure over the issue of some failing to attend the meeting, calling for unity and discouraging grudges among colleagues.

In response, the Deputy Editor (Daily), Mr Olusola Alatise, explained that some staff had worked late into the night for the previous day’s production, which was why some were unable to attend the meeting.
