The Catholic Church of Ondo is set to commission its Memorial Park at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owaluwa, Owo, this Saturday.
The distinguished honor of officially commissioning the Memorial Park will be carried out by Archbishop Antonio Guido Filipazzi, the Catholic Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria.
Additionally, a Memorial Mass will be held on the same day within the church premises.
In a related development, the Ondo State Government has also constructed a Memorial Park located opposite the Palace of the Olowo of Owo.
Its official commissioning will be announced soon.
According to reliable government sources, the specific date for the commissioning of the Government Park will be disclosed soon.
“The memorial park being commissioned this Saturday belongs to the Catholic Church, while the Government Memorial Park will also be commissioned in due course.
“The government will announce the date for its commissioning shortly,” one of the sources added.
