… as Party demands police investigation

The Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) Movement has rejected claims by the Osun State PDP linking its principal to the recent killing of political enforcer, Adesile Seebu in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area.
In a statement on November 8, 2025, AMBO Media Fronts Coordinator, Adebayo Adedeji said the PDP’s allegations were “malicious and baseless.”
He explained that Seebu, who had been on the run since February 17, 2025, resurfaced at a road project launch event before a violent clash erupted among PDP loyalists.
“Reliable reports indicate that in a violent struggle among themselves, PDP thugs engaged in a bloody clash, an incident that reportedly led to Seebu’s death,” the statement read.
Adedeji stressed that AMBO and its supporters had no presence in Ikire at the time and described the PDP’s accusation as “criminal, defamatory and politically motivated.”
He called for a police probe into both Seebu’s death and the circulation of misleading statements.
“AMBO is loved by the people of Osun and does not need any thug to win the 2026 governorship contest,” Adedeji added.
The PDP had expressed concern over the wave of violence in Ikire and linked it to a supporter of the AMBO campaign, Akinkunmi Alabi, aka Ojuyobo, who has a history of violent activities. The party described the attacks as “a deliberate assault on the peace of Ikire” and urged security agencies to intervene immediately.
“The people of Ikire deserve justice for Adesile and protection from further aggression. The time to act is now,” the statement concluded.
