Oyebanji assures Ekiti United support, unveils jerseys for 2023 NNL season

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has reassured the youth and people of the State that his administration would strive towards using sports to empower and engage youth positively.

The Governor made the remarks during the official unveiling a new jersey for the State owned football team Ekiti United Football Club.

Oyebanji represented by the Commissioner for Finance, Mr Akin Oyebode expressed delight at the exploits and strides of the State owned team in recent years.

He reiterated the commitment of the state government towards pushing the team up the ladder and creating enabling environment for the team to pursue and achieve it’s much desired promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The Governor urged prominent indigenes and corporate bodies within and beyond the state to complement government’s spendings and support for Ekiti United FC stressing that government alone could not finance sports  in the face of other daunting challenges.

He charged the management and technical crew to be at their best in a bid to gain promotion at the end of the season.
