Both All Progressives Congress (APC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have canvassed supports from the people of Osun State to come out en masse on Saturday to vote for their party so that they could enjoy the dividends of Democracy.

The immediate past Governor of Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, had advanced reasons why residents of the state should vote for candidates of All Progressives Congress for the State House of Assembly during the next Saturday’s poll.

This was as Oyetola also reiterated his confidence in God that he would return to government as governor.

While commending the people of the state for their support and for coming out en masse to elect the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, during the presidential election, he said with APC at the centre, it was important for the people to once again complete what they started by voting for the party, come Saturday.

Oyetola said by aligning with the apex government, the state stands to benefit more, adding the elected lawmakers will work for the betterment of the people when he reclaims his mandate,

He assured the people of the state of unprecedented development from the progressive government, adding that the president-elect would consolidate on the gains of the progressive government and initiate more unprecedented developmental programmes across the nooks and crannies of the country.

He urged the people of the state not to be intimidated but rather to vote massively on Saturday for the candidates of the APC, saying this would go a long way to make things easy for his administration when he returns to power soon.

Meanwhile ahead of his 100 days in office, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has charged the people of the state to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 11 State Assembly elections.

While thanking the residents for their full support on July 16, 2022 and February 25, 2023, Governor Adeleke who spoke in Yoruba language, called on the people to endorse the PDP again next Saturday to enable him to continue in the delivery of dividends of democracy.

“My good people of Osun State. I address you today to express my heartfelt appreciation for your love and backing for me all the time. You voted for me massively last year. I am ever grateful. You voted for my party massively in federal elections. I am thankful.

“Your trust in me is not taken for granted. Since I assumed office, I have been delivering on my electoral promises despite the funding constraints. I have blocked leakages in state finance; launched Osun on tech revolution through new tech innovation policy, ICT Policy and domestication of Nigeria Start Up act,” he said.

According to him, his administration has stabilised the public service; introduced farmers intervention initiative; launched the payment of backlog of salaries and several emoluments.
