Oyetola lauds Presidential committee on IDP’s completion

Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has lauded the Presidential Committee on Flood, Relief and Rehabilitation, PCFRR, for its commitment to the completion of the Internally Displaced Persons’ Camp site in Osogbo.
Oyetola stated this during a formal handing-over of the site to the contractors in charge of the project.
The State Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Tajudeen Lawal disclosed that, his administration has prioritized the safety of the residents of the state with a particular emphasis on adequate channelization of the drainages across the State, in addition to constant orientation of people on the need to avoid indiscriminate dumping of refuse in drainages.
The governor noted with satisfaction that all the measures taken have so far resulted in the gradual putting behind the sad days of incessant flooding which was the lot of the people in the past.
Earlier in his remarks, the representative of the Presidential Committee on Flood, Relief Rehabilitation, Abuja, Mr Titus Omoniyi thanked the Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Aliko Dangote for the inclusion of both Osun and Oyo States among other beneficiary states in Nigeria.
He assured that the project will soon be completed and handed over to Osun State government.
Earlier in his welcome address, the General Manager, Osun State Emergency Management Agency, OSEMA, Engr. Tajudeen Adabanija appreciated the PCFRR team for its efforts in ensuring that the project was completed.
He similarly pledged the resolve of OSEMA to ensure the success of the project.
