Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has assured of his administration’s commitment to give necessary support to the National Youths Service Corps for the success of the scheme at all time.

He also assured that the welfare and safety of the Corps members serving in Osun would always be given priority and desired  attention by his administration.

The Governor who spoke through his Deputy, Mr Benedict Alabi congratulated the corps members on their successful completion of one year service to their fatherland.

Oyetola used the occasion to acknowledge the patriotic zeal with which the 2019 Batch A of the National Youth Service Corps  deployed to the state of Osun have served their fatherland by remaining resolute even in the face of daunting challenges.

He lauded them for living up to the dream of the founding fathers of the NYSC scheme conceived as a means of fostering national unity, enhancing national integration and providing socio economic development across the nation.

“I have no doubt that the NYSC Scheme is awakening us to the capabilities of our youths in the onerous task of nation-building. Your various contributions would remain monumental to the nation’s greatness.

“Equally, your social relations and other forms of mutual affiliations are the building blocks of national cohesion. So also, your sundry services to your host communities serve as a testimony to the worthy cause of the NYSC Scheme in the nation’s stability and greatness.

“From all indications, your distinguished service has greatly impacted on the socio-economic landscape of the State of Osun, especially in the rural communities where majority of you served.

“Let me assure you that the people of this State appreciate your immense contributions in the various communities”, he stated.
