The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has berated the state’s APC over the alleged diversion of a N2 billion palliative fund, threatening to sue APC if it continues with the unfounded allegations against Governor Ademola Adeleke..
Reacting to the allegation in a statement, the State PDP Chairman, Mr. Sunday Bisi said “We are not a corrupt government like yours APC.
“APC government that ran the state aground with multi billion naira debt without any democratic dividends thinks and believes every leader is a kleptocrat with a sadist mindset like the previous APC government,”
Recall that the APC had in a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo accused the Governor of diverting palliative fund.
The PDP in the statement said Governor Adeleke is a due process leader who cherishes accountability and transparency in all governmental processes, adding that procurement order has been placed for palliative materials and they will soon arrive.
The PDP pointed out that the palliative plan by Governor Adeleke is very comprehensive and is designed to be sufficient enough to reach the masses, noting that only those who were voted out for thieving records will think the governor from a billionaire background will divert a palliative fund that was publicly declared.”
He added, “We want to put it on record that an internal probe conducted by this government had since revealed multi-billion naira maladministration and mismanagement under the previous APC government.”
