Panic, as gunmen kidnap 10 in Ondo

No fewer than 10 passengers traveling along Lagos /Ore expressway have been abducted by suspected Fulani marauders.
Reports had it that the hoodlums emanated from a bush and started shooting sporadically, forcing vehicles plying the road to stop.
Sources said some passengers escaped, others were kidnapped, after the herdsmen riddled the Toyota bus luxury buses with bullets.
The unfortunate incident occurred about 5pm on Sunday as other vehicles who heard the news of the herdsmen attack were said to have stopped and parked their vehicles, from afar.
It took about one hour before some soldiers and other security agencies arrived the scene of the incident.
In a related development about two persons were also kidnapped along Owo/Ifon road.
The two incidences occurred simultaneously but at the time of filling this report, no information had been heard about the kidnapped victims as regards negotiations for ransom.
The Hope Metro investigation revealed that fear and anxiety have gripped travellers plying Ore/Lagos express way, Akure /Ilesha Owo/Ifon and Akoko roads.
However, the identities of the kidnapped victims were still sketchy as at press time.
A combination of police, military, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, since and Amotekun have been mobilised to Ore and Owo axis of the state to comb bushes in search of the hoodlums as rampant cases of kidnapping is taking a worrisome dimension in ondo state.
