Pastor Adigun celebrates 70th birthday, Shiloh in grand style

Christians have been urged to depend more on the word of God and prayers as the General Overseer of Mercy of God Ministry International, Akure, Ondo State, Pastor Joseph Olaitan Adigun, celebrated his 70th birthday and 21 years Shiloh Anniversary. The programme was themed, “From Glory to Glory” in adoration to the mighty work of God.
He expressed gratitude and appreciation to God for the milestone considering the ups and downs and journey of life.
He was made while speaking with The Hope on his journey in the ministry and his experience, positing that it has been God all the way.
The celebrant’s joy knew no bound as he shared how he stated with gathering of 20 like-mind .
“Our church is not a money making venture as it is obtainable everywhere today. We believe in article of association that says, nobody should benefit pecuniary from the proceed of the church and not encumber by any tradition or norms”.
According to the General Overseer, the church doesn’t engage in anything outside what Jesus say, as they believe in the efficacy of prayers, which has worked for over 25 years in the church.
Adigun posited that, “Celebrating 70 years has not been easy, considering the challenges of life which make me to stand firm in God Almighty.
“Thanking God for this 70 years is a landmark achievement particularly in the present day where death is rampant everywhere”.
Adigun however recalled his experience while in the civil service, saying that his doggedness in the business sector made him successful, which after retirement prompted him to established. “Honesty Sachet Water Company, Igbaraoke with the staff strength of over 22 as part of his contribution to the development of the society.
He said aside his teaching of the word of God, he still contributes to people’s life. One of the spectacular things the Lord has done for me is attaining 70 years. Moreso the children of the Lord gives to me, both biological and spiritual are doing exceedingly great”.
He urged Christians to wait on God and stop looking for miracle which is just for a moment.
The clergyman said the quick money syndrome the teeming youths are engaging in today is a function of maladministration of governments at all levels.
He said any wealth made illegally is like ill wind that was meant to blow in due time, appealing to the youths to venture into business rather than engaging in ventures capable of destroying their lives.
The General Overseer advised the church of God to go back to the basics and do away with act not exalting God.
He appealed to governments at all levels to take the issue of restructuring serious. Adding that government should spend more on Education, Health, Agriculture and Economic development, saying those were the only way out of enormous problems facing the country.
