Pastor arrested for impregnating teenager in Akure

A middle aged Pastor Josiah Akinsuyi of Christ Apostolic Church, Abusoro in Akure, Ondo State has hit trouble for pregnating a 16-year-old girl.
The randy pastor who has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC in the State was paraded along with five other suspects yesterday.
The Pastor was said to have had sex with the minor who is currently undergoing medical examination.
Parading the suspects before reporters in Akure , the state commandant of NSCDC Mr Pedro Awili Ideba said the pastor sometimes approached the lady in her school and had canal knowledge of her adding that from preliminary investigation conducted by his men revealed that the senior sister to the victim was aware of the sex romance between the girl and the pastor.
Pedro explained that investigation showed that sister to the victim had a deal with the pastor which made her to conceal the sexual escapade going on between the pastor and her sister.
NSCDC boss hinted that close medical examination, it was discovered that the victim is in her four months pregnant
He stated that one Sunday Babatunde who claimed to be a boyfriend of the teenage girl (victim)was also arrested with the pastor
He said the boyfriend to the victim (Babatunde) confessed to have been dating the girl before the randy pastor snatched her because of N50,000 the pastor promised to give to the girl before nemesis caught up with him.
Speaking with the metro the suspect denied having sex with the girl adding that the whole thing was a set up .
On his part, Babatunde who said the girl was his girlfriend stated that he had sex with the lady while they were dating but denied responsibility of the Four months pregnancy.
Also a middle aged Godwin Bassy who hails from cross river state was arrested alleged trafficking of young boys and girls after promising them a juicy job in Akure.
The suspect nabbed along ijare road in Akure on Monday but mounding said he brought the victims from his village in Cross river to work with him in his block molding industry along Ijare road .
He told the Hope Metro that the only lady among the five suspects was his inlaw and denied any involvement in human trafficking as being alleged.
The commandant while assuring the people of the state adequate protection of their lives and property warned criminal elements to relocate from the state or ready to face full weight of the law disclosing that all the suspects will be charged to court after investigation has been concluded.
