Barely two months after a cleric, Morris Fadehan, was allegedly murdered inside the church by his assistant, the family members of the deceased have cried for justice.

The family  called on the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, to wade into the matter, saying the police need to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the culprit to book.

Recall the deceased, who was the Pastor-in-Charge of Celestial Church of Christ, Grace of Comfort Parish, Omitoto, in Osun State,

He was allegedly mudered on February 26, 2024, by one of his assistants, Lekan Ogundipe, who was said to have confessed to the killing.

Addressing journalists in Osogbo on Tuesday, on behalf of the family, Fadehan Elizabeth Ayotomiwa and Agbeniga Comfort, said, though Lekan Ogundipe has confessed to the callous killing of their father, police should  intensify investigation on the matter.

They said: “We are the relatives of M/S/E Morris Gbaju Fadehan, who was gruesomely murdered inside Celestial Church of Christ, Grace of Comfort Parish, Omitoto, Ilode in lle-ife on Monday, February 26, 2024.

“We are of the opinion that if police could be determined to intensify their investigation on this broad daylight killing, more culprits shall be arrested.

“There have been several misunderstanding between the deceased and Lekan, anytime this happened, he (Lekan) has many supporters in church that he always use against the deceased.

“We wish to let the general public know that since the inception of the case, some of us have been receiving several strange calls to drop the case.”

“Life has been so miserable for the wife and children of our beloved Fadehan since his untimely death. There’s nobody to cater for them as father. He was a perfect example of family man while alive and his contributions to the extended family can never be
