PDP commends NWC over Congress

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been commended for the peaceful conduct of the party’s congress in Osun State.
The newly-elected Youth Leader of the PDP , Southwest Zone, Seyi Bamidele and the party in Ondo State gave the commendation on Tuesday.
Bamidele in a statement also appreciated the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde and the former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola for their support towards his emergence as the Youth Leader of the party in the Southwest.
In an interview with The Hope, the Publicity Secretary of the party in Ondo State, Mr. Kennedy Peretei lauded Governor Makinde and the former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayo Fayose for abiding by their agreement in accepting the outcome of the congress.
Bamidele said, “I am grateful to God Almighty for the privilege given to be victorious in the election freely and fairly conducted in Osogbo determining the people that would pilot the affairs of the party in the zone for the next four years.
“I am indeed indebted if I fail to acknowledge the support rendered by Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Governor, the leader of the South West zone of the Peoples Democratic Party in repositioning the party in the region.”
He also appreciated the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party led by Prince Uche Secondus for their unrelenting efforts on the move to reposition the party by constituting the committee members led by Governor Otorm, other members of the party, who conducted credibly free and fair election devoid of rigging and manipulation.
“It’s indeed a remarkable, worthy and democratic experience and process paving ways for a solid foundation in building a big family carrying along every stakeholder in one fold.
Bamidele assured of an all inclusive leadership that will enhance more youth participation and involvement towards the common goals of the party.
Peretei in his comment said the congress was successful and peaceful which its outcome was accepted by all as a result of its free and fair conduct.
The keenly contested election, he explained would make the party come together as one family for the forthcoming governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun States next year.
He, however, advised the members of the new executive to reach out to all those who participated in the election and ensure everybody was brought to the same page for the party to move forward.
