Former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Secretary, Ondo South Senatorial District, Mrs Funmilola Ademoyegun and over one hundred leaders and supporters have decamped to the ruling All progressives congress(APC) in Ileoluji/Okeigbo local government area of the state.

Other notable decampees are: Mr. Adereti Adewale, former Deputy Leader Ileoluji/ Okeigbo Local Government, Elder Olajide wale Youth Leader ward 8, Mrs Abiodun comfort Women Leader ward 10, Comrade Gbemibade Moruf, Youth Leader Ward 9, Mr Victor Adegoke ward 7 General Secretary among others.

Deaconess Funmilola Ademoyegun, Special Assistant on Health Matters to former Governor Olusegun Mimiko said she and her teeming supporters made the decision based on their concern to participate in politics that will facilitate good governance.

Welcoming the decampees, Chairman of APC, Ondo State, Engr Ade Adetimehin assured them that they would be carried along for the development of the party.

Represented by the party chairman in Ileoluji/ Okeigbo, Adefilure Festus, Adetimehin declared that the decampees will enjoy equal rights and privileges, urging them to remain loyal to the party.

Member House Of Representatives-elect Ileoluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo federal constituency, Festus Ayodele Adefiranye noted that PDP members were convinced to join the party because of the viable policies and projects of All Progressive Congress, APC led administration in Ondo state

“These are pillars of PDP in Okeigbo, they all left the party PDP is now shadow of itself”

Adefiranye stressed that government should be about provisions of basic amenities and ensuring development for the people.

In addition, the Vice Chairman of APC in Ileoluji/Okeigbo, Elder Samson Ojetayo
noted that the government in power has surpassed the expectations of people of Ileoluji/Okeigbo with good road networks.

In his goodwill message, the Ondo State Commissioner for finance, Mr. Wale Akinterinwa said the emergence of Mr Festus Ayodele Adefiranye as a Member House of Representatives-elect is a landmark in the political history of Okeigbo, attributed the success and peaceful atmosphere created by Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
