People’s welfare our priority– Ondo Speaker

The Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Oladiji Olamide has said that service to the people remains the focal point of the Assembly.

Oladiji noted that this is the only way to make a meaningful impact in any democratic experience.

The Speaker who played host to a group of Ondo Youth under the auspices of Ekimogun Youth Connect, said the State House of Assembly will continue to work with necessary stakeholders with a view to making life worth living for the youth.

Oladiji who described youths as the engine room for development pledged to continue to give them the necessary support to enable them realize their potentials.

Earlier, the leader of the group, Lucas Kakaaki Famakinwa commended the Speaker for championing the course of quality representation in the art of lawmaking.

Mr Famakinwa assured the Speaker of  Ekimogun Youth Connect’s support towards facilitating the much desired youth development in Ondo Kingdom.

The Ekimogun Youth Connect is an organisation devoid of any political affiliation but committed to the development of the less privileged youth in Ondo Kingdom.

The organisation has over the years lifted indigent youth in Ondo Kingdom through their numerous social programmes.

Meanwhile, the Speaker has urged politicians to stop playing politics with the health of the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu.

While receiving a team of political leaders from his constituency, the Speaker said the Governor is hale and hearty, adding that he will resume duty shortly.

Oladiji solicited the prayer and support of his constituents to enable him record maximum success in his current task.

Speaking earlier, the leaders who expressed delight in the current leadership position of the Speaker pledged their support to enable him succeed in his new assignment.
