Police arrest 3 students over burglary

Ekiti State Police Command at the weekend apprehended three teenagers who are students of the Federal Science and Technical College, Usi-Ekiti, over alledged conspiracy, burglary and stealing.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, Mr Sunday Abutu, the names of the suspects are  Adelabu Okiki (15) Ogunsulade Vincent (14) and Ogunleye Ayomibe (15), they were apprehended by the Police in collaboration with the local security guard of the school.

He explained that the suspects who are the students of the school conspired and burgled the school store located within the school premises, the Information Technology Center (ICT) and administrative blocks of the school and carted away some equipments and goods in the school..

Items allegedly carted away by the suspects according to the PPRO include, three laptops, one solar generator, three handsets of different brands, 4G Airtel Wifi, two office bell and one rechargeable clipper.

He explained that during interrogation, the arrested suspects confessed to the commission of the crime and further investigation revealed that they had burgled the school severally and had stolen different items in recent times.

The Ekiti State Police Command spokesperson said the students would be arraigned accordingly as soon investigation is completed on the matter
