Police arrest man for killing brother over father’s property

Men of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested a man, Lomi Akinnibinu, in connection with the killing of his brother in Oko oparun over their father’s property.
The suspect was arrested after he and members of his gang reportedly killed his brother in Ondo East local government area of Ondo state.
The Hope Metro gathered that Lomi and his accomplices poured chemical on his brother’s lifeless body, so it could decomposed on time.
It was gathered that the suspect and his partners-in-crime dumped the deceased corpse in the farm, covered him with bamboo leaves and went away with the ransom collected from his wife.
It would be recalled that the deceased, who was a farmer, was kidnapped and allegedly killed after they demanded N700,000 from his family.
The deceased’s mother, Mrs Akinnibinu, insisted that the suspect, (Lomi Akinnbinu) should not be granted bail pending when investigation would be concluded, saying, “my life and the life of the deceased’s wife are in danger because he knows about the death of his brother.”
A police source confirmed the arrest, saying the suspect has been taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Akure.
According to him, the suspect was detained to enable the police embark on technical and forensic investigation of the incident so as to unravel those behind the devilish act.
