Men of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested three suspected murdered who allegedly killer Okada riders in Sango area in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo state.
The suspects include; Isah Umoru, 25, Iliasu Ibrahim ,42, and 30-year old Muhammad Bakare.
According to report the syndicate have killed five Okada riders in the community.
The Hope Metro gathered that the heinous act infuriated the people of the community who made an attempt to burn the suspects alive. But the Baale of the community tried to stop them. And in the process, the angry mob reportedly descended on the Baale and destroyed his vehicle.
Speaking with our correspondent, one of the suspects, Umoru, who claimed he is a shoe maker from Kebbi state said the two men came to him that he should take them somewhere.
Umoru narrated, “On getting to Sango area, there was another Okada rider waiting and before I knew it, one of the men that I was conveying hit him with a heavy stick on his head from behind.
“As I wanted to run away with my bike, residents of the community and the police came around to rescue me from being lynched.
