Police discover ritualists’ den in Eki

Ekiti State Police Command has burst a ritualists shrine in Odo area a suburb of Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
Commissioner of Police, Mr Asuquo Amba led the operation in company of Journalists and other officers of the command.
The commissioner who explained the location of the shrine, disclosed that the scene is a hideout and den for kidnappers, fraudsters and other undesirable elements.
Odo, where the shrine was discovered is a satellite town at about 10 kilometres to Ado Ekiti and home to a private Polytechnic.
Two middled aged men whose identities are yet to be ascertained by the police were apprehended at the shrine.
Fake foreign currencies which include dollars and poundsterling of large quantity and charms of different types were also discovered at the scene.
The Commissioner said” we trekked a few kilometres into the forest before arriving at the well laid out shrine.
“Our men discovered a hidden underground in one of the houses at the shrine and there are fetish objects all over the place.
“The community head, Akitipa of Odo, has also been invited by the police to assist in the ongoing investigation.
“Police also discovered a dungeon with path which connects one of the shrines to another, several statues and fake dollars around the shrine”
The Commissioner of Police who described the den as fraudsters hideout, appealed to the general public to always assist the police by giving them useful information which could help them to perform their duties.
