Police nab 12 suspected cultists in Akure

Suspected cultists numbering about 12 were arrested yesterday at a popular hotel in Ijapo Estate, Akure by the men of the Anti Cultism Unit of the Ondo State Police Command for disrupting the peace of the area.

As at the time The Hope visited the scene, an unconfirmed report said that one person was allegedly stabbed and killed by the rampaging cultists.

According to an eye witness, who craved anonymity, some of those suspected to be involved in the crime have already been apprehended and kept in police custody.

The details of the mission of the cultists in the area were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report as policemen at the State Anti-Cultism Unit could not be reached on the telephone.
