Police nab teacher, 26, for defiling five-year-old

A twenty-six-year-old teacher is now cooling his feet at the Ondo State Police Command for defiling a five-year-old pupil.
The teacher, Adeyeye Ebenezer, was said to be the girl’s class teacher at Gospel Faith Mission international ( GOFAMINT) Nursery and Primary school, Iretolu , Okitipupa.
The Hope Metro gathered that the suspect allegedly committed the offence during school hours, by luring the girl to the school’s toilet before he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
It was also learnt that the victim has been taken to the hospital for proper check and test.
The Chief Medical Director, State Specialist Hospital, in Okitipupa, Dr. Babatunde Ikuemelo. He confirmed that the victim has been brought to the hospital on alleged rape.
He said the hospital would carry out all the necessary tests to ascertain if truly there was a penetration .
While narrating the incident, the girl’s mother, Mrs. Solape Sheile, said on the fateful day, she met the girl in an unusual manner which stirred up her curiosity.
” When I got home that day, my daughter (the victim) was at home sleeping, while her siblings were doing the house chores, which was very unusual, because she hardly sleeps in the afternoon.
“I decided to move close to her. It was then I noticed blood stain on her dress.
“When I asked my daughter what happened, she began to explain how one of her uncles in the school took her to the toilet and forced himself into her.
” She said he warned her not to tell anyone.”
On further enquiry, it was learnt that the pupil was said to have mentioned Ebenezer’s name, which prompted his arrest .
The suspect, however, denied the allegations, describing it as a planned work designed to humiliate him.
Meanwhile, all efforts to speak with the proprietor of the school proved abortive, as at the time of filing this report.
The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph, has also confirmed the incident on phone, saying the suspect is already in their custody, while investigation is going on.
